![]() With optimal conditions, GeForce Now is a wonderful alternative to the Nintendo Switch. The obvious drawback is that you may experience poor gaming sessions in areas with questionable internet and Wi-Fi. But if you’re on the road and have a gaming laptop, the Nvidia Shield, or an Android device, you can get good mileage out of GeForce Now (pun intended). If you have access to your PC, there’s no point in streaming games you can play locally on your computer. ![]() With that said, if your internet connection is solid, you’re going to have no issues playing games on GeForce Now.Īlthough not overtly advertised as such, GeForce Now is most useful for players who do a lot of traveling. Others who may live in parts of the country with spotty internet may not get the same results. Of course, this is because of my speedy Verizon Fios internet. The games looked great and played smoothly. Games like Assassin’s Creed II from Steam, Apex Legends from EA Origin, Dauntless from the Epic Games Store, and Watch Dogs 2 from UPlay ran as if I was playing them locally from my PC. During my tests, I experienced no noticeable input lag or latency. Latency and input lag can kill any streaming service and is the sole reason some gamers balk at the idea of streaming games. You can also manually change the bit rate, resolution, frame rate, and adjust for poor network connections. Competitive prioritizes minimizing input latency but at the expense of resolution. Data Saver minimizes the amount of data used but still delivers good image quality and gameplay. The problem on Geforce Now only occurs with WT, the other games are immune to it, including World of Warplanes and World of Warships.Balanced takes full advantage of available bandwidth to deliver the best image quality and gameplay. Instead the native app on the mac has not this trouble (albeit it's slow like the Gaijin's snail). I checked also the command settings but nothing. ![]() I tried three different mice (all wireless) but the result doesn't change. Same thing also in "mouse as joystick" mode and even with a real joystick.Īs if there was kind of a blockage. Instead of turning 360° in all directions, it allows just about 90°. Unfortunately in the last 2 or 3 days I encountered a much more serious problem: it seems no longer possible to pilot properly in mode mouse pointing. ![]() Much, much better than the native app on my mac. The only flaw is the visual quality of the streaming which is a bit swinging (even if I have a 1 Gb fiber connection).Įven when it's good it is slightly blurred, so sometimes is difficult to read the characteristics of the opponents in air combat.Īniway it runs with maximum or even film quality at 60 fps. It works quite well with many games including War Thunder. So I tried signing up for Geforce Now and playing with that. I would buy a new PC but - alas - these are bad times. Which hasn't stopped me from using it assiduously for 2-3 years now. I do, because on my old Macbook 2010 (2.4 GHz Intel Core 2 Duo, 16 GB 1067 MHz DDR3, NVIDIA GeForce 320M 256 MB) the game, even at minimum quality, runs very badly. Hi everyone, I don't know if anyone else is playing War Thunder on the new streaming game platform Nvidia Geforce Now.
